Getting Your Lions Club on the Internet
Included on this diskette are two sample web pages - a basic club web page and a guest book. Additionally, there are a number of Lions logos, backgrounds and a few miscellaneous images included. Some are used on these two web pages and some are there for you to experiment with. Additional images can be found at the LionNet Image Archive.
If you choose to use the basic web page you will need to modify it for your Lions Club. Make sure you change all the appropriate references including page title and those related to your Club's meeting time, location, etc.
It is not necessary to use the guest book unless you would prefer to have one specific to your club, in which case you should rename the file and make the appropriate modifications to the page. The guest book link on the basic club page makes use of the existing District 2-X1 Guest Book. Any information submitted via this guest book will go to the District Internet Chairman who will take action on it or forward it to the appropriate Lions Club.
Be sure to include any email links on your club page and to modify the Webmaster's email link.
The map of the the club meeting location is a generic one - you can replace it with a specific map by using Yahoo! Maps.
You can use any WYSIWYG web editor to edit these documents or modify the actual HTML code using MS Notepad. LionNet provides useful information on designing, editing and uploading Lions Club web pages at it's Webpage Help site.
If you need additional information or assistance please contact the District Internet Chairman - Lion Frank Pickens.
Good luck with getting your Lions Club on the internet!
