These first few photos are not of our group. I am including them to let you know about them. These are member of the Gulf Coast Living History Association, in Beaumont, Texas. They have affiliated themselves with the Viet Nam Veterans Association #292 of Jefferson County to recreate a US firebase from the Viet Nam war. This is located on acreage next to the Veterans Hall in Beaumont. They have created trails, fields, and open areas to recreate patrolling situations and other aspects of the soldiers' daily routine in Viet Nam. We have been given the opportunity to build a typical French fortified outpost of the Indochine period in an area of the property. This will be shown to visitors as well as be used for public battle recreations and tactical simulations.
We are very excited about this opportunity, and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Gulf Coast folks.
