My Favorite Drink My Favorite Highway My Favorite My Favorite Car
Blonde, Brunette or Redhead

I think any two will do. Since I have not had any females in my life lately any two would work.
Not much to talk about these days. I have my cars, my children, my computer, my plants and I like to work with wood and metals. The last three items I have not had much time for lately. The computer is more and more work than play and the children have (as they should) been utilizing most of my "spare" time. I have been using all other spare time working on a few web-sites I have contracted and this site as well. The computer has become my most used hobby appliance and has worked many hard long hours these last 6 months, with my video camera coming in second. I have many little hobbies I invest time into which don't require much time from me. I have collected coins since I was a child. I collect some STAR TREK items. I have a small collection of Coca Cola items and my old car "collection".

I love to take pictures which I have done for years. Although I don't process my film as I have in past years and my video camera has become my main camera. Don't get me wrong I still love to use my 35mm camera and may never part with it. My video camera is easy to use and is used more for thorough recording of an event including the audio segment. I have now purchased a TV video board for my home computer and can use the video taken to produce web video clips and still images from the video recordings. I have not had much time for this and hope to have some video clips available soon on this site.
One of my favorite hobbies I don't spend much time on is my roses. I have for years raised roses at my dwellings. Since we moved to this home in 1992 I have collected 5 different varieties of roses. I prefer the long stem red varieties with very fragrant flowers. I do have one variety which is not red, it is called "Camelot" it has pink flowers and is long stemmed. In the middle of the growing season of 1998 I started having problems with Black Spot disease. I think I have stopped most of it his season and had many more roses this year. What a great thing to smell out the front door of home, sometimes when the wind blows just right the aroma filters through our house. I brings back memories of my house on the south side of town which had a bush on either side of the front porch. We could just open the front door and be in rose heaven. I hope to increase my number of varieties this next spring, maybe some yellow or white might be nice. Any kind sure comes in handy for giving to the females and it is nice to know they had been grown by under my care.
Another of my favorite hobbies has to be my flowers beds. I don't spend much time on them as I should but it has been much fun planting and keeping them looking nice. I get many compliments on my flower beds as many single men don't seem to have the time to care or just don't want to mess with them. It gives me a place and reason to relax and slow down from my usual yard chores and it to smells and looks good when taken care of properly. I did learn to dig up my elephant ear bulbs this year, not doing so will cause lose of bulbs in Oklahoma. We have had another long growing season this year I am now (Dec. 20) bringing them in for the winter. I did not dig them in the winter of 1998 and lost all my large bulbs, the only bulbs that grow this season were the baby bulbs from last years large mother plants.
I don't spend much time on my house plants as I should and it really is showing this year. I have for years had house plants and enjoy watching them grow in our home. I had a hard time this year with them and lost about half of my plants to mites and other diseases. This Christmas will be the first year I haven't had nice plants to give as presents to my family and friends.
In 1999 I has not able to spend any time working on my old cars. I hope that in the next year to be able to have the body off my 57 station wagon and be hard at work on the body and frame for a frame-off restoration of sorts. I don't plan on a complete restoration in that I am going to transplant a V-8 engine and an automatic tranny in this car. This my "fishin wagon" and may never make it back to original condition while in my possession. I do plan on adding just a few items to it other than larger motor and an automatic, air conditioning, disc brakes, power steering and a radio would be nice. I can't wait to drive it on the open road, my blue and white wagon.
Next year will also see work on the 86 Caprice, it is in need of a minor engine rework and other minor work here and there. I have sold the other 2 old Chevy's I owned and they are now gone. I now have no plans for the 55 Chevy Belair. I also see work about to start on the car that has been my main road car for the last 2-1/2 years, the 80 Malibu Classic is in need of some freshening up. I think the motor will need some work soon as the weather clears up.
