During play press:

'F1'to place a sword beneath the owl.
'F2'to place the sword above the owl.
'F3'to increase the size of the blasts you can fire.
'F4'three times to gain an extra live. This cheat can be repeated as often as necessary.

Note: Another source says you need to type "FANTASY" first, then press 'F1' - 'F5' for various cheats. Pressing the 'Return' key will then skips levels.
