GENERAL NOTES: Be sure to examine aqueducts.
Don't take the shortcut the first time. Come back to it later.
Bow raises Ninja level very slowly. Best use it later when you find
the slayer arrows.
Lock Picks are worthless.
The ax is excellent. Get the BOW. The horn of fear makes creatures
run in panic sometimes.
You'll need some "weaken non-material" spells ready, but you may need to practice it awhile. That's the only thing that will kill a ghost when you encounter one. This level is handled pretty much by just keeping going in one direction until you finally wind around to the stairs going down. At the wooden door, chop it down. At the switch after the wooden door, hit it and you are teleported, so move right quickly before the gate shuts!
One area has a teleport field. If you have a coin, then teleport yourself as it will save some time. If not, then just keep going in the direction of the area to which you've not been to yet. When you come to a room filled with screamers, you've found a regeneration room for them, which means there's an inexhaustible supply. Even though you easily slaughter them all, when you return later, they're back! This feature works to your team's benefit as it's great for stocking up on the food supply, however you must be on the lookout for wandering purple worms, which are difficult to deal with at this level. When dealing with worms, make them chase you, but maneuver
them so as to cause them to fight in doorways, where there is a switch nearby. When they are under the door, close it on them and start fighting. The door will inflict damage and they'll usually retreat. So heal up and open the door and repeat (the worms are so dumb, they come back for more door bruising!). Worms are also good eating. Towards the last area, when you can see an open pit off to the left and a mummy on the other side, throw anything at the mummy to get rid of him. On the next level, worms are very tough and the best way to fight them, is as previously stated. It has been reported that about fifteen worms were found on this level, so a lot of going back and forth can be required.
If you find the "prisoner", you will be near the staircase leading down to the next level. Heed the writing or you will have more work to do. As long as the "prisoner" is imprisoned, so are you.
