When you enter this room, there may be two floating eyes and they are sure to be unhappy! So deal with them and here's the scoop. It looks like a room with a bunch of pillars. But there are invisible teleport fields in between most of them. The correct way is: as soon as you come down the stairs, go left and go all the way to wall. Go right and then walk all the way down the corridor to the opposite side that you're on. Go left and then walk forward again. It's something like "zigzagging" because if you enter through a pillar, you'll be put back at the stairs and two more eyes will be created again. Once at an opening on your left, go through and you should see two doors with one key. Get the key and take your pick as both doors go to the same place with two monsters to kill as well. Rom Chip went right and had to fight a damn thief who kept stealing his shield. He only takes anything you are holding in your left hand. So take all left hand items and put them in inventory. Walk to the gate and open it and kill the skeletons inside. Continue until you see the moving plates. Step onto the plate and you're moving around like a carousel. Jump off when you see the opening to either the tiny little alcove (that contains a teleport that will put you at start if you jump into it) or into the corridor to continue to a room where monsters are held at bay by an invisible forcefield. DO NOT PRESS ANY buttons here or you'll let out all the monsters (BOY, wouldn't that be scary?). You can kill them from a distance pretty easily. In the lower chamber, where some monsters were being held, is a switch to a secret chamber containing a nice weapon. Continue on as you really just keep going the only way it seems that there is to go.
You'll pass by a door to a room on your left, and continue past two other doors sort of side by side and two spaces apart. After this, you come across two more doors. They both lead to the scorpions' lair (one of the hardest monsters Rom Chip thought). Here's the strategy. First open the door on the far left. Lower door perhaps, and take two steps. Then turn right into the
alcove and press the secret button. Get the items in the chamber and look for another secret button, which you press, and then get out and close the door behind you. Go up a bit to the other door, open it, and go three spaces forward. Turn left and go two spaces forward. Turn right and go three spaces forward. Turn right again and go one space forward. Then left and you should see a nice looking AXE. Get it and go back to the door and close it as quickly as you can. Avoid those scorpions if you see them as they are extremely nasty. Go back to the old lead them to the door and slam it on them routine and be sure to have lots of cure poison potions ready because
they do 75-100 points of damage every time they hit. After you kill about three or so, go in and make your way through. BE SURE TO GO INTO WHAT LOOKS LIKE A DEAD END ROOM that has a sort of teleport field. Get a magnifying glass on the ground, which you must have to win the game. Then get to the stairs ASAP! Go down and forget about this level.
