During a two player game type player one's name as "FIELDS OF FIRE" and player two's as "IN A BIG COUNTRY". This eliminates the lead to qualify in the Top Ten and allows you to crawl around the track at a much safer speed. If this doesn't work, try reversing the names of the two players.
