The Georama system allows you to rebuild origin points, which are crucial to restoring key buildings and other places in the future. Geostones are egg-shaped crystals, which Max needs to collect, in order to be able to rebuild things. Collecting Geostones also provides other hints to the Georama for the area they relate to, and provides specific descriptions (e. g. Georama levels for Sindain, Balance Valley, and Veniccio. Heim Rada has a culture section, which permits keeping track of the culture points. Moon Flower Palace's picture option allows the viewing of the photo seen in the foyer. Note that the Georama conditions for Moon Flower Palace are locked. Only hints are available from the pictures). Georama Materials are also required to build all of these objects, but are prevalent throughout the game. They can be obtained in chests or stolen from enemies in dungeon levels, or bought from Conda, the leader of the Firbits, who's located at the rear of the Blackstone One and Ixion locomotives.
When you've restored an area's Georama by a certain percentage, you'll have restored some future object's origin point. Use the Time Gate (i.e. move Max or Monica over there and press the 'X' button) to move into the future. They'll find tiny chests containing a Fruit of Eden, a Witch's Parfait, a Potato Pie power-up item, as well as rare gems in some cases. These treasure chests blend in very well with their surroundings and are easy to miss, so you'll need to look carefully for them. You can have your characters travel to the future via the Map menu once you've gotten the Ixion at the end of Chapter 5. However the Ixion's commands can only be used in the present. All future areas are LOCKED in (the optional) Chapter 8. Fortunately, you can get most of any needed items from your recruited support characters.
The Georama Menu can't be accessed until Max has acquired the first Geostone in Rainbow Butterfly Woods in Chapter 2. As he walks onto a georama accessible town area, you'll see a Carpenterion icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Press the 'Select' button and you'll be able to access Georama Mode. Pressing the 'Select' button again, returns to character mode. Press the 'Triangle' button while in Georama Mode to access the following menu:
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Build | Create objects such as buildings, trees, plants, trees, etc. |
| Place | Place the object on the land |
| Paint | Paint applicable objects |
| Clean Up | Clean-up objects |
| Culture | View the total Culture Points accumulated and people, who're staying in the village. |
| Analysis | Provides currently found Georama Conditions, needing to be fulfilled in order to revive certain future objects. Conditions not yet found will be shown as question marks. |
| Georama Mode Controls | |
|---|---|
| Controller Button | Effect |
| 'Right Analog' mini-joystick | Rotates camera view 360 degrees. |
| 'L1' | Rotates the camera view to the left. |
| 'R1' | Rotates the camera view to the right. |
| 'Left Analog' mini-joystick | Moves the cursor around menus or over the georama area. |
| 'Circle' | Cancel placement of an object or painting. |
| 'X' | Executes placement, painting, clean-up, or the "Make Objects" command. |
| 'D-Pad' buttons | Moves cursor around menu or undeveloped land. |
| 'Triangle' | Gives access to Georama Menu. |
| 'L2' | Rotates the placement of an object to the left. |
| 'R2' | Rotates placing object to the right. |
The four commands under the Georama Menu form the basis of Georama and act upon Georama Materials, of which there's an abundant supply. Press the 'Triangle' button upon viewing the Conditions Display at entry into a level to view the possible Georama materials available on the level.
| Build | Allows the making of objects. Certain objects (e.g. the Church) can only be built once. Others (e.g. Rivers, Hills, Leafy Trees) can be built or placed as often as desired. |
| Place | Objects should only be placed after careful planning. Rotate placeable objects with the 'R2' or 'L2' buttons. An object will be highlighted in light blue when it can be placed on the area, or in light red where it can not. You can build up to bigger objects (e.g. fencing or a pier, consisting of multiple fence units or multiple wooden blocks, etc.). Objects can be placed on top of each other. Some characters will only stay in a house if it's been placed near a certain object (e.g. Gordon will do so if the house is near a tree, Claire wants to be near light, etc.). |
| Paint | Spruce up your dull appearing towns and enhance their features to add in Culture Points. Larger objects of course require more paint than do smaller objects. |
| Clean-Up | It's a good idea to perform some clean-up before starting to build the town of Sindain. Cleaning up painted objects removes the paint. The objects don't disappear, they're just put back in the Place(able) menu, ready to be set down again. |
