Fly southeast back to the cave at the camp and head inside to speak to Master Sevoth. He'll take a mere twenty of the 100 plus Shards she's collected, and teach her the Lightning spell (level 1). She also now has the map entry for Bonegrinder's lair. You've probably seen it while exploring (remember the strange dark funnel cloud?). Next head back in to see her not so secret admirer, Olag and sell all of the remaining Shards for 45 gold apiece. Definitely repair her weapons and armor and buy more health potions if necessary. Note that you should complete any unfinished business in this area (e.g. go retrieve the item left outside the Crystal Mines entrance) before moving on to the area's final confrontation with Bonegrinder. Once that battle has been successfully completed, they'll be automatically transported to Ravenshold, a land of ice and snow, which was their original destination when they departed Surdana. Head northwest toward the smaller island northwest of the large island, where the Crystal Mines is located. You'll spy a Goliath Grull on the island. Take it out with Arokh's flame breath. Fly southeast to the coast and you'll spot another Goliath Grull near the beach. Flame this one out of existence too. Now it's time to head north toward Bonegrinder's Lair. Refer to the map as necessary to ensure that they're heading in the right direction and haven't overshot the intended target. Stop off at the large docks where two ships are berthed and heal if required, then definitely save your game progress. Fly north and Bonegrinder will appear and summon Arokh's old "friend" Mezzidrel, a two-headed Wyrm, that can fire homing bolts of electrical energy. Lock on to one of the heads and circle, varying their altitude while firing to avoid the homing electrical bolts. Should her health meter fall to one third, immediately unlock and head south out of range. Land and heal, save your progress and then return. When the head is destroyed so is Mezzidrel.
Mezzidrel's demise leaves another sparkly appearing upgrade for Arokh suspended in mid-air near the entrance to the whirlwind cave after the battle. Fly through it to obtain Arokh's Thunder Breath. Land and save your game, then fly south to engage a couple of Blackwings in battle and you can test it on them or use one of his other two current attacks. Head back up the inlet to the end of the canyon and land on the large sandy shelf about halfway up the wall. Send her into the cave and have her skirt to the right of the depression, that the whirlwind is emanating from, and move over to the rolling stone door, which will open as she nears it. Save your game status here and then enter Bonegrinder's Lair. There's a barrel just inside the door on the right, which may contain 0 - 75 gold. Continue north down the path and then turn east and go down the incline, and the first Wartok in this area will suddenly materialize up ahead. Although it does so with its back turned to her, so sneak up behind it and back stab it. Be careful she doesn't tumble off into oblivion just behind it. Head along the ledge to the left and smash the pair of barrels for 0 - 52 gold. Have her move back toward the ramp she came down. The following jumps are pretty obvious, but if you need help, here they are: jump on to the bluish stone platform from the closest point. Then jump to the south to the next one. Next continue down to the one to the northeast, then on to the one to the southeast, and finally down to the platform in the east. The second Wartok will materialize in front of her and three Club Grulls lurk nearby as well. They do carry sacks of 54 - 120 gold, so collect them after taking them out. The nearby barrel contains nothing, however the next pair further on contain 10 - 50 gold and a Health Elixir. Head past the two exploding barrels and past the fire and you'll see a narrow plank, which bridges the current area and the next. Save your progress before attempting to cross it, but be aware that it shouldn't be very difficult to cross. The next two Wartoks will materialize as she does so, so she needs to hurry over and dispatch them. If you timidly take her across the plank, they may attempt to crowd her off of it before she reaches the other side. It's better to line her up and have her run across. Get the health potion from the first corpse. There're a barrel on the west side, which may contain 0 - 35 gold. Head down the tunnel to the south. Smash the three barrels for 75 - 100 gold.
Over on the east side, a Club Grull can be seen down below off in the distance (you may have to wait a bit for it to appear). Target it with her bow and take it out. Next jump on to first platform and a Fire Wartok materializes on the platform beyond. Turn right back around and jump back to the area she just came from and have her head back behind the column on her right, heal as required, then save your game progress Have her step out from behind the column then move forward until she can lock on to the Fire Wartok. Have her fire one arrow, then roll left or right, fire another arrow, roll back, then repeat this maneuver until the Fire Wartok is history. Save again, then continue jumping across. After gathering the health potion from his corpse on the higher platform, and 0 - 19 gold from the three barrels to the northwest, return to the central platform, then jump down to the northwest. If she didn't get the Club Grull below with her bow before, it'll be waiting for her just below out of sight. Use the right Analog mini-joystick and target it and take it out and collect 4 gold. The next Wartok materializes as she continues along past the fire. Pick up 50 gold from its carcass, then get 0 - 35 gold from the nearby barrel. Jump down to the south toward the whirlwind. Get 0 - 130 gold from the two barrels immediately below. Collect 142 gold from the three barrels near the crates up on the ledge to the south. Turn and head west towards the whirlwind. She'll exclaim "So this is what he's using to create the storms!" Save your game progress then carefully jump down onto the circular ledge. Head towards the gap, then walk off the circular ledge to the south down onto the next lower concentric ring. Run around the ledge in either direction until she spies a pile of crates and save your game. Have her jump down onto the crates (preferably one of the upper ones). Use the right mini-Joy stick to orient her and have her drop down to successively lower crates. You can get a good look at the crystal causing the storms while doing this. Head west into the tunnel and take out the two Shield Wartoks, which materialize and collect 0 - 67 gold, which they leave behind. Smash the three barrels a little bit farther on the right for 90 - 116 gold. She may be able to take out the next Shield Wartok with a back stab. Two more of them lurk near the edge of a large pool of lava. There're stepping pillars leading down and a fair number of enemies are visible. Head south over to the other side of the area and take out the Fire Wartok for a half Mana potion. Smash the three nearby barrels for 22 - 110 gold. Return to where she came from, then have her jump down to the platform to the south. Equip her with her bow and destroy up to five enemies to the southwest. Jump to the platform in that direction and finish up any she couldn't get from above, then down to the ledge. She should now be able to move about below relatively unmolested. Search the corpses for 52 gold. Get another 85 gold from the barrels near the fire. Head over to the east and take out the Fire Wartok, then grab some gold from the nearby barrels. Head back where she jumped down from and continue north. Follow the ledge around to a stack of crates and barrels. Colleact 88 gold from the barrels. Continue past the pile and you'll note a couple of platforms, which will take her down to the area below. Two more Shield Wartoks lurk below. Try to take both of them out with her bow or the Lighning spell. They're so dumb, they'll stand below and swing at each other, trying to hit her, who's standing above them out of reach! Drop down and have her quaff a Health Elixir, equip her bow, then position the hot slot to an Invuleralbility Potion. Head northeast down the passage and save your game when she comes in sight of the rolling doorway. Enter to face Bonegrinder.
Bonegrinder is invincible as the fight starts. He can attack with an overhead smash from his staff and by casting an expanding wave of blue energy. Fortunately, both of these attacks require some preparation, and she can knock him off of his stride with a well-timed swing. He's not overly difficult to defeat once he's vulnerable. If her health becomes depleted, have her run behind one of the tree roots and quaff a potion. You can see lightning based energy being channeled to his back and absorbed. There are three small blue energy nodules set in roots, which are equidistantly spaced around the area perimeter. Have her drink an Invulnerability potion and target and shoot them one by one to remove Bonegrinder's invincibility. Once accomplished, have her switch to your preferred melee weapon or spell. When Bonegrinder expires, the storm creating crystal disintegrates. Pick up Bonegrinder's Staff then head south toward the exit. Pull the lever to activate the teleporter and then have her step onto it to return outside. Have her greet and mount Arokh, note the double moons to the southeast, then fly back to the south where they came from, to continue on to Ravenshold. Save your game when prompted.
