As they proceed through the cave, Rynn asks "Have you heard anything about this Snotmaw?" Arokh replies "Ah... He's a Wartok. Wartoks are all the same. Since he's a chieftain, I'll guess he's a very large Wartok. Their system of government isn't particularly complex." Head forward and blow away the Wartok on her right, then head over there and get 55 gold. There's a Blackwing nest straight out to the south and in view from the cliff they arrived on. The area in front of them is open and large. Grull, Wartoks, and Goliath Grull are to be found on the ground, while two Blackwings and three Redwings patrol the nearby skies. The Redwings shoot an exploding ball, which is as easily dodged as the Blackwings' shots. The nearby black smoke plumes are coming from destroyed farmhouses. There may be a chest or two to be found in them, but they're generally uninteresting and not really worthy of the effort of investigation. Just sit on the ledge just outside the cave entrance and target the Wartok on the ledge to the west, and the two nearby nesting Blackwings. You should be able to destroy them with his Flame Breath and take almost no damage in return as they'll be out of their attack range most of the time he's firing. Head southwest over the grassy ledge, where one of the Blackwings was nesting and pick up the Blackwing Eggs sitting out in the open. Head due south a short distance and land at the other Blackwing nest and grab the eggs. Just beyond they'll soon target two Grull and a Goliath Grull below. Land and grab 107 gold from the Grull corpses. Two Redwings can be seen just out of range off in the distance to the south. They can be taken out fairly easily by staying out of range, and hitting them with Flame Breath for awhile, then switching to Sonic Breath and finishing them off.

Continue south and fly until you see a stonehenge like edifice below. Land Arokh near the entrance and have Rynn run towards the center along the path of stones. Each stone pair lights up with a blue green light as she passes them. When she enters the center, a number of skeletons arise from the ground. Destroy them until no more do and the Lightning Blade arises from the center dais. Grab it and head back toward the cave. Just next door to the northeast is a campfire and a couple of enemies. Flame them and land to pick up 114 gold that they leave behind. Another Blackwing nest is hidden in the mountains to the southwest and there's a Blackwing guarding it. Continuing south, they'll encounter a pair of Explosive Crossbows and another couple of Redwings guarding the entrance to Snotmaw's base, which is just beyond. Have Arokh fly around the area and target and destroy the Goliath Grull and a couple of other smaller versions. Land and pick up 142 gold. Search the area for barrels. Don't get carried away and whack some of the exploding barrels by mistake. The group of barrels out in the open on the right contains a bunch of Emeralds (130 gold each), a Diamond (225 gold), and a Ruby (100 gold), while the nearby Wartok will give up 95 gold. There's an Iron 2H Sword, 205 gold, and a Health Elixir, in the shallow cave on the left. Another Wartok, who was guarding three chests containing 381 gold in a shallow cave on the right, drops 44 gold. It's probably time to return to Surdana again and sell off the excess weapons she's found, including the Lightning Blade, and the Blackwing Eggs to the Alchemist. You may also wish to have her stop by the Jade's Magic Emporium and upgrade her spells. When ready, return here and land near the cave entrance to Snotmaw's Lair. Save your game status and enter.
