The Grull and Wartoks seem to have a rudimentary knowledge of machinery, and may use simple machines in defense of their territories. You will also encounter elevators and mechanical doors.

|---|---|
Exploding Barrels | are found almost throughout the game and are tapered barrels with Eldritch symbols around the top and bottom edges. They explode when struck, damaging everything in the blast radius and setting afire nearby things. Arokh will complain if he's too close to an explosion. There's never any treasure left in exploding barrels, so avoid them unless you can use them to destroy nearby enemies without damaging Arokh or Rynn in the process or to blow open a passage, where neccessary. |
Explosive Crossbows | are found around Surdana, the Khossa Vole, Andrellian Isles, Ravenshold, the Grull's Camp, the Northern Tundra, the Wartok Caves, and in the Valley of the Fallen. They are anti-dragon artillery, which are used to fire explosive rockets at your dynmic duo. Their shots are prety easilly evaded and Arokh can easily destroy one with two or three shots. |
Catapults | are not particullarly suited for anti-dragon artillery, but used that way nonetheless. They Gull use them to launch exploding fire balls, which travel along an arc. Arokh can take one out with two or three shots. They're found around Surdana, the Andrellian Isles, the Crystal Mines, and Shiverbane. |
Fireball Trap | is found Snotmaw's Lair. It fires flaming balls down the middle of the hallway. Have her hug the wall on the right side to avoid them. |
Spinning Blades | are found shortly after the Fireball Trap in Snotmaw's Lair. They travel rapidly down a track in a narrow hallway and she's toast if she comes into contact with them. If that isn't bad enough, the alcove up ahead and off to the right sends out a set of nasty spikes as soon as she ducks into it, which she must do, to escape the whirling blades. |
Ice Golems | are the guardians of the Visionary Amethyst (the eyes in the fallen statue of Krozvokt in the Ice Caves). These robot like mechanical men will often be found in groups of three. They fire an ice beam when she's at a distance, draining her energy and which can freeze her. When she comes into range, they'll try to swat and crush her, taking off a good 75% of her health when they make contact. Cast Time Slow to make the battles much more survivable. |
Ice Cannons | are only encountered in the frigid moutains of Shiverbane. They send twisting bolts of ice towards Arokh and Rynn and are a nuisance until destroyed. However they're only slightly more difficult to destroy than the Explosive Crossbows. |
