Fly past the palace on the right and land in town near the Blacksmith's Shop. Enter and drop the Ice blade near where the other ones were left if you haven't temporarily sold them. Sell any extra items and repair your weapons of choice. Sell her Plate Armor, then buy and equip the newly available Magic Ornate Armor. If she's still using the Iron shield, sell it as well and then buy and equip the Mithril Battle Shield.

Well, given that they've opened the second gate and General Dehrimon wasn't waiting for them when they returned, the logical next thing to do would be to enter the palace and talk to Lady Myschala. A cut scene unfolds, where she learns that the interior of the palace has been attacked from within and that the attackers were sighted coming from the west wing, whereupon she obtains the "Find out how the assassins got into the palace." quest. Have Rynn go west and then south and the bookcase will open to reveal a secret passage. Turn east and go down the stairs, then head north at the bottom. Note the straight line in the masonry on the east wall in the room with the three barrels, which tend to be empty. Hit to the right of the line and the wall will crumble and reveal the fourth lever. Have her enter and pull it to open a room in the east wing of the palace, from which the royal treasure can be looted. She can smash the nearby barrels for 0 - 40 gold pieces. Have her continue west downstairs and then turn north and she'll see a deactivated teleporter. Rynn will mention that it's not working if she steps on it. More on this in a bit. Head back upstairs. Uh oh, this doesn't look good. The palace courtier Zola Dane has Lady Myschala imprisoned in a levitated force field. Seems he's part of the enemy plot. It's not a difficult battle. Just whack him a few times and he gives up and takes off for the Desert of Tears, which is their next destination. She now has the "Stop Zola Dane. Find him in the Valley of the Fallen." quest. Head into the east wing and the Royal Treasury door immediately to the north will swing open. Enter and loot the treasury of 10,004 gold pieces. Leave the palace and call Arokh. Mount and fly southwest following the river. Two Redwings will first attack, and there's a group of Grull and Wartoks using catapults to attack the gates. Have your dynamic duo provide air support for the beleaguered loyal opposition. Check the battlefield for 0 - 125 gold, then head on through the gate. Save your game when prompted.
