| Attack - Inflicts physical damage upon a single character. Eraser - Petrifies and shatters a single character and it is impossible to evade. Never used when only one character remains active. Shining - Causes eight consecutive non-elemental based magic attacks upon randomly chosen characters. | |||

| Strength should be 170+, Defense in the range of 165 - 175, and Agility about the same. Evasion should be higher... around 200 - 210, while Accuracy should be at least 130. Magic and Magic Defense aren't particularly important, while Luck should be at least 70. Hit Points of 9,999+ will work well. You can only use Tidus, Rikku, and Wakka as this fight occurs underwater. Equip them with their Celestial Weapons and protect them with Break HP Limit Auto-Haste Auto-Potion, and Auto-Protect. Shinryu's Shining attack will cause eight random hits, causing about 100 Hit Points damage each, so not much to worry about there. Eraser will be used on one or two characters by Shinryu every 3rd to 5th of its turns. Start off with Rikku mixing a Trio Of 9999. Shinryu's attack usually causes 3,500+ Hit Points of damage. Continue with Overdrive attacks. One of your characters will now likely be erased. Tidus and the remaining character should attack, be attacked, and counter attack. They'll be healed after being attacked because the Trio of 9999's effect still being in place. Restart the game if Tidus is next erased, unless you have a very powerful Wakka remaining. Continue with this strategy and heal as appropriate. Characters Knocked Out (not erased), should be brought back with Full-Life or a Mega-Phoenix potion. | |||
