Bertha Alice Wells Duguid (1881-1969)

Bertha was born on January 19, 1881 in Wheatland Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan, and the daughter of Jasper J. Wells (1847-1924) and Alice Loronda Gowdy Wells (1842-1923).  She married Dennis Ward Duguid (November 12, 1880 in Ray, Indiana) on Christmas day, 1905 at the Wells home in Hillsdale, Michigan.  Prior to marriage she worked as a schoolteacher and a secretary in a Detroit insurance company.  Dennis preceded her in death on November 22, 1960, she died October 15, 1969.  They are both buried in the North Adams cemetery just north of North Adams, Michigan.  They had 4 children:

2. John Dewitt Duguid (1908-1987)
3. Blossom Ruth Duguid (1913-1915)
4. Mary Elizabeth Duguid (1914-1976)
