The first night we decided to stay at the youth hostel in port tounsond. This was the view from out side the building we staid in. If you go to the aria go to a different hostel this one was not very nice. The grounds were nice and we got a decent hike in before heading in to the park.

The first day camping was really nice and sunny. Moriah loves camping and thinks the tent is just great.

The last four pictures were from the East side of the park where they get only 70" to 100" of rain.

In the late twentys through the 40's there was a hot springs resort. It is now a 2+ mile walk from a parking location to the springs and we ate lunch there and Susan took a quick soke in one of the springs. This clip is from the road to the hot springs. ~466K

The rest of the pictures on this page are from the West side of the park which gets  ~140" of rain / year. I think we were very lucky in that it never really downpour on us while we were hiking or cooking outside. We did use the umbrellas most of the time we were walking on this side of the park and they kept us dry enough even in the tattered condition the one I was using was in.
