Lee McGroty - Teaching Reiki Master

Lee has been working
with Reiki in Austin, Texas, since 1990. She and
her family facilitate several weekly healing circles.
Besides teaching Reiki, Lee uses the symbolic
energy of the Tarot and Shamanic techniques to
heal and manifest supportive energy. Lee McGroty
was born February 14, 1958 in Harlingen, Texas.
As a daughter of an Air Force Officer, she spent
her childhood traveling. During that time she
experienced many cultures - from Alabama, two
years after the Selma March, to the Southwest
border cities of Del Rio, Texas, and Nogalas,
Arizona. Much of her time was spent in the Pacific.
She lived three years in Hawaii on the island
of Oahu, and three years on |
| Okinawa
in the Ryukyu Islands South of Japan. The
family's travels took her to places like Taipei,
Taiwan, Guam, Wake Island, and Iwo Jima. During
this time Lee developed a deep love and respect
for the Orient. She felt a powerful connection
to the way of life - the language, the cuisine,
the ceremonies, and the temple gardens. In 1990
Reiki flowed into her life. Lee studied Reiki
I & II with a Reiki Master who received her training
from Phyllis Furamoto. At this time Lee lived
on a Christmas Tree Farm in the rural setting
of Bastrop, Texas. Her two daughters were her
first Reiki clients. Reiki was used for tummy
aches, bumps and bruises, and other childhood
"events". The most popular application was using
Reiki to put the children to a peaceful sleep
at night. Lee audited Reiki I in September 1993
with her daughter, Allison. It was Allison's seventh
birthday, and the class was all that Allison wanted
for a present. For months Allison helped mom facilitate
the monthly Reiki Exchange. |
| In March 1994,
Lee audited Reiki II in preparation for her Masters.
She completed the ART/Masters level with William
Rand in Sedona in May of 1994. It was at this
time she started preparing for Certification with
the . Lee is pictured
on location at a Reiki Texas training seminar
in Alaska. Reiki is the first priority of study
in her life. Lee has also studied extensively
in three other areas. First, the Tarot and its
use of symbolic energy in healing and manifesting.
Second, the recognition of personality traits
that the "Michael" information accesses to working
with clients, family, and friends. |

| Third, the reverence
for the Shamanic studies and how they work in
conjunction with her healing practice. Lee studied
with author William C. Lammey for over five years
and was acknowledged in the 2nd edition of the
"Karmic
Tarot." By using the symbolic energy of the
Tarot, Lee is able to focus in on daily issues
of importance to her path. Whether the issues
are spiritual, mental, emotional, or on the physical
plane, she is able to recognize the areas of imbalance.
By first adding positive energy from other cards
in the deck and then by using Reiki on the new
package of energy, she is able to quickly heal
the imbalances. She has used the tarot successfully
in manifesting areas of her spiritual growth.
Lee studied for five years with author Jose Stevens,
who has written 7 books on "Michael" and on shamanic
studies. The Michael information enables her to
more readily relate to others - how they learn
their knowledge, the mode to which they apply
their knowledge, how they look at life, their
behavior, and if they are emotionally, intellectually,
or movement oriented. All the personality traits
support Lee in interactions with students, clients,
and in how she teaches each individual. |

Lee
originally studied with a Huna group, and has
since studied the works of Serge Kahili King,
Dan Millman, Lynn Andrews, Ted Andrews, Michael
Harner, and many more. She works with the elements
of the earth in her healing, and recognizes and
uses the healing energies of stones. Her bonds
with her power animals have proven significant
to her spiritual progress. Lee has also done extensive
study with Advanced Tachyon Technology. She has
taken and audited all the Classes offered: Practitioners,
Practitioners II, Quality of One: Level One, and
Quality of One: Level Two.She has found the Tachyon
Products to be extremely helpful both personally
and in her healing practice. In August, 1999,
Lee completed her requirements to become a Certified
Licensed Tachyon |
Teacher. This
grants her the right to train Practitioners in
the art of Pain Management, and to subsequently
license Pain Management Practitioners.
Lee has been a Reiki Master Teacher since 1994
in the Austin and Texas area. Her business is
called "Reiki Texas". Her husband, Brian, and
daughters Allison(12) and Allisia(9) are all Advanced
Practitioners. Reiki has been integrated into
the family's daily life from home to the baseball
fields. The family helps with aspects of the business
and the weekly "United In Healing". |
