Turbo V6 Production Figures

Figures are for the number of vehicles with the Turbo V6 engine only, unless otherwise noted. The Regal Sport Coupe, LeSabre Sport Coupe and Century Turbo Coupe used the Turbo V6 exclusively. If you have questions about anything listed, please use the MESSAGE BOARD. Information sources listed at bottom. Please note that these numbers come from a variety of sources, not directly from Buick.

1978

• Regal Sport Coupe: 30,507*
  Note: The where 27,811* 4-barrel and 2,697* 2-barrel Turbo V6 Regals. Numbers do not add properly (off by 1 unit). This is how they are listed by the source*.
• LeSabre Sport Coupe:
  Note: Total Turbo V6 production listed at 40,121 in "The Buick Free Spirit Power Manual". If sources are correct, this leaves 9,613 LeSabre Sport Coupes.

1979

• Regal Sport Coupe: 21,389
• LeSabre Sport Coupe: 3,582
• Century Sport/Turbo Coupe: 1,653 (NOTE: Figure includes all Century Sport Coupe models, G87, not just those with the Turbo V6. The Turbo V6 was also available in five other Century Models)
• Riviera w/Turbo V6: 2,067
• Riviera S Type w/Turbo V6: 8,400
  Note: Total Turbo V6 production listed at 37,451 in "The Buick Free Spirit Power Manual". If sources are correct, this leaves 2,013 Turbo Centurys (all models, not just Turbo Coupes)

1980

• Regal Sport Coupe: 6,276*
• LeSabre Coupe/Sport Coupe: 8,342 (NOTE: Figure includes all LeSabre base coupe and Sport Coupe models, not just those with the Turbo V6)
• Century: ? (NOTE: There were just 1,074 Century Coupes which includes all base, Limited, and Sport/Turbo Coupe models, not just those with the Turbo V6. There were also 129,740 Sedans, some of which were turbocharged.)
• Riviera S Type: 7,217 (NOTE: not clear if number is Total Turbo V6 or Total S Type. V8 and Turbo V6 available on both Riviera and S Type models)
• Chevrolet Monte Carlo w/Turbo V6: 13,839**

1981

• Regal Sport Coupe: 2,891*
• Riviera/Riviera T Type w/Turbo V6: 3,990
• Chevrolet Monte Carlo w/Turbo V6: 3,027****

1982

• Regal Sport Coupe: 2,022 (NOTE: includes the approximate 25 Grand National Sport Coupes)
