Shades of Grey String Trio
Since beginning their association in 1991, the musicians in the Shades of Grey family have provided music for hundreds of Weddings, Parties, Receptions, and Special Events in the Houston area. The founding members of Shades of Grey are: |

Richard Rivera - violin: Mr. Rivera performed for 9 seasons with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra before relocating to Houston. He has since toured the Far East with the Mantovani Orchestra, performed with orchestras in Conroe, College Station, and Corpus Christi, and performed in Houston with HITS Unicorn Theater and the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra. |

Brady Lanier - cello/arranger: Mr. Lanier is a graduate of the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and has received advanced training at the University of Houston Moores School of Music. He has performed with Mercury Baroque Orchestra, Orchestra X, and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Lanier is also an accomplished composer who arranges many of the pieces performed regularly by Shades of Grey. He has had works commissioned by members of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Theater Under the Stars, Houston Children‘s Chorus, and many fine school orchestras in Katy and Spring Branch. |

Erika Lawson - violin/viola: Ms. Lawson, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, moved to Houston to attend the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. She is a member of the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra and regularly performs with the Houston Ballet, Theatre Under the Stars, and Mercury Baroque. |
