Monotypic genus found in Costa Rica and Panama. Grows as epiphyte in cloud forests (500-1,200 meters). Pendent inflorescence. Grow in intermediate conditions.

***But...Is this really a Stanhopeinae? Dressler '81 say's yes, others say it's Bifrenariinae (yep, sure looks like a Xylobium).
