We thought it might be a good idea to introduce ourselves and share some funny genealogy stories that have been given to us.
Twelve of us started a genealogy channel believing we could make a contribution to the way things were done here. We have learned the value of shared information and helping each other as well as many of the pitfalls and advantages to doing genealogy through this medium.
It seems the only things we ALL have in common are a love of genealogy and history and the belief that only the tip of the IRC iceberg has been discovered. Our backgrounds and "other" interests are varied and we are scattered over half the Earth. From New Zealand to California and Washington; Alberta and Ontario, Canada, on to Michigan and a stop in Ohio, moving east to Pennsylvania and Massachusetts; down the eastern seaboard for stops in South Carolina and Florida, then northwestward stopping in Alabama in route to Tennessee and on to Missouri, then a two-in-one visit in Texas, most of us will probably never meet in person. However, we have developed a bond that we would like to share with everyone who visits #GenealogyForum.
