We are starting our family tree and would like to know from "whence we came". The families we are seeking information on are Hendrix and Willingham. Heresay is that some of the Hendrix clan moved West from Lexington S.C. Some information we have on the Willinghams is that they lived in Fairfield County, South Carolina in a town called Bethel until about 1880. As you can see by the family tree shown below, it looks like two cousins married when Mary Ella and W.P. Willingham married. We have been unable to find out anything about WP's side of the tree except that on his death certificate his father was listed as Hilad. We also know that he worked on the railroad in S.C. and left for Texas about 1880.
