The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports in 1995 (most recent available) there were 15,800 "reported"fires caused by residential clothes dryers and the number is growing annually.

If a dryer is taking longer than 1 cycle to dry, you probably :

* will be wasting money on higher electric bills.
* will be wasting money on higher gas bills if applicable.
* is wearing out their expensive clothing faster.
* will be overheating their dryer.
* will most likely call a repair person first and waste the service
call charge by learning the vent, not the dryer, is at fault.
* is creating unnecessary wear and tear on the dryer leading to
expensive repairs.
* will have to buy a NEW dryer sooner.
