MODEL 1852 - 1853
A family of rugged, all metal, compact microscopes
designed for the elementary student's introduction
to the fascinating micro world. Incorporates
computer designed achromatic lens systems, rack
and pinion focusing with slip clutch, and student-
proofing features found on more expensive
microscopes, yet priced to fit school budgets.


OPTICAL SYSTEM

--> Vertical Tube - WF 10X w/pointer.
--> Model 1853 - Rotatable, 45° inclined,
widefield 10X eyepiece, locked-on,
w/pointer. Permits comfortable viewing
when seated, and easy viewing of wet slide
specimens.
--> Objectives are color coded 4X, 10X and
40X (40X spring retractable). Fully coated optics.
--> Triple nosepiece w/positive detent stops.

ILLUMINATION

--> Fork mounted plano-concave mirror. Optional
substage 15W illuminator w/on-off switch,
permanently factory mounted.
--> Replacement lamp: 2275-1 (115V,15W).

FOCUSING SYSTEM

--> Rack and pinion focusing w/controls on
each side of stand.
--> Slip clutch prevents damage to focusing mechanism.
--> Tension control adjustment to eliminate drift.
--> Safety rack stop prevents damage to slides and objects.
--> Advanced Model 1852-FC and Model 1853-FC
have both coarse and fine focus controls.

STAGE

--> 88mm x 82mm stage, acid and reagent resistant.
Locked- on stage clips are spring mounted for
easy use by students.
--> 6-hole disc diaphragm w/positive click stops.

FRAME

--> Durable cast metal frame.
--> Grey, stain resistant enamel finish.
--> Height: 11 1/4" Base: 6 1/4" x 4 3/8".
--> Weight: 52 oz.

PACKAGING

--> Packed w/vinyl cover in fitted styrofoam.
