The reasons behind our record of proven success lies not only with our high-quality services, but with our people.  Southwest Museum Services has built a staff drawing on the diverse experience of nearly 30 professionals, with expertise in museum planning, exhibits design and fabrication, research, graphics, electronics, and laser-disk production.

The People Behind the Magic...
Dr. William C. Griggs began Southwest Museum Services after serving as Executive Director of the Harris County Heritage Society and the Panhandle Plains Museum. The latter position he held during the museum's expansion phase which made it the largest museum in the state of Texas. Prior to that, he ran Texas Tech's History of Engineering Program.

Author of more than 20 books and articles in the museum and history field, Bill holds both a doctorate and master's degree in history from Texas Tech, and a business degree from Texas A&M. He has also served as the chair of the Texas Antiquities Committee, and has been honored as a Smithsonian Fellow and Fulbright Scholar in Museum Studies.

Tony L. Webber, partner and Vice President of Southwest Museum Services since it's beginning, also serves as the manager of museum exhibit technical concepts, including audiovisual systems, interactive laser disk programs, and exhibit lighting and fabrication.

Tony is the former communications director for the Harris County Heritage Society, and has produced and edited film and sound-tracks as an independent film producer for industrial development, marketing, and fund-raising. Webber began his career as an audiovisual technologist at Texas Tech, where he earned a bachelor's in marketing and advertising. At Southwest Museum Services, Tony has directed A/V for such projects as ABC, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
