The Table Tutor is a software package that came about by a need in the industry for more attention on dive table instruction. It is easy to fall back on the "I dive with a computer" mentality, but to be a good safe diver, we must have a grasp on dive tables and the theories behind them. That is why I wrote this software package.

My name is Larry and I am an Instructor Trainer. From teaching hundreds of divers, and even from certifying divemasters and instructors, I have noticed, as have most instructors, that students have a difficult time mastering the dive tables, and even though they finally get through the required tests, they forget how to use tables within a few weeks (or sometimes hours!).

For this reason, I developed The Table Tutor which allows a diver to practice a virtually endless supply of dive table questions on their home PC. More than just a simple test however, The Table Tutor gives complete explainations to all of the questions.

Originally, I worked on the software to increase my knowledge of code writing, and to help some of my students, but more and more of my friends started asking for copies and "Could you add missing surface interval questions?", or "How about putting in some other dive table formats?" and "Can you make it in metric for some of my foreign students?"

Well, a few hundred hours of code writing later, the finished Computerized Table Tutor was a reality. I hope you enjoy it, and send me any comments, questions or suggestions you might have - but I have to do a little diving before I write any more code...
