June 20, 2009: Special meeting at 4:00 at Deep Sea Aquatics in Garland. The Oklahoma Aquarium Association will be meeting in conjunction with the Texas Cichlid Association at this meeting. The address is 2054 Forest Lane, Suite 410 Garland, Texas. The owner, Dan, and some of his employees will demonstrate to everyone how to “build” an aquarium. Check out their website for more information about their aquariums.Currently, there are no plans for refreshments at this meeting (but you know how things change!). I think the plan is for everyone to go out to dinner after the meeting and have a great visit.

June 21, 2009: HOUSTON AQUARIUM SOCIETY’S Summer Live Fish Auction will be held Sunday, June 21st, at the American Legion Post, 11702 Galveston Road in Houston. Seller/Bidder check-in begins at 10:00; auction begins at 11:00. No outside food or drinks allowed, and no smoking is permitted inside the building. The American Legion is having its monthly "Steak Dinner Night" during the afternoon for only $10 per person, which includes steak, salad and baked potato.
