| MEK56 SERIES |
T&C Industrial Controls |
| FEATURES |
| Visible Red Beam
Easy alignment. Beam easily seen on reflector. NEW polarized beam "Wrap Proof"
mini-MEK also available. No false signals from shrink wrap, stretch wrap, metal
straps or shiny objects. |
|
 |
| High Visibility Output/Alignment Indicator
Easy walk-by verification of operation.
Makes adjustment of plug-in timing modules quick and sure. |
| Sensitivity Adjustment Potentiometer
Permits user to set sensitivity to unwanted reflections; allows sensing of
many translucent objects. |
| Operation Mode Switch
Lets user select operation with output
active when beam complete (light mode) or operation with output active when
beam broken (dark mode). |
| Saddle Clamp Terminal Strip
Quick and easy wiring for "Big Fingers".
Plenty of room for two #14 or one #12 wire. |
|
Threaded Metal Inserts
Cover stays on tight with no fear of
stripping threads from overtightening. |
| Compact Rugged Glass Filled ABS Housing
Made for the industrial environment;
impact and corrosion resistant. |
|
Self-contained
Each unit has its own power supply,
light source and/or receiver, output and plug-in timing module capability. |
| Set Screw
For conduit mounting. Once the unit is aligned
it stays aligned. |
|
O-Ring Gasket
Mounted on cover and mating lip on housing
guarantees a good, watertight seal. |
| Captive Screws
No loose cover due to dropped or missing
screws, saves time and aggravation. |
|
Screw Holes Outside of O-Ring and Housing Interior
Water can not leak through screw holes
into the interior. |
| Phase Locked Loop Solid State Circuitry
Insensitive to ambient light, electrical
noise and radio frequency interference. |
|
Power-up Output Inhibit
Prevents any unintended output for
approximately one second after the unit is powered up. |
| |
| MEK-56-RF-20 Reflex Controls |
 | The "RF20" senses its light beam reflected
back from a retroreflective target. Easy alignment is assured by the unit's visible
red beam reflecting off the target. The beam is considered complete when the path
between the "RF20's" lens and the reflector is not blocked. The wrap-proof "WP20"
senses its beam reflected from a standard corner cube reflector but will not sense
its beam reflected back from strech-wrap, shrink wrap, ect. eliminating the false
outputs wraps often cause. Range 12' with 3" reflector. |
| MEK-56-LA46 / MEK-56-PA46 Thru-Beam Controls |
 | This separate Light Source and Receiver
can be used at ranges of 60 ft. in a clean air environment. At shorter ranges it
has plenty of power to punch through dusty, vapor filled or smokey air. The visible
red beam makes alignment easy. The beam is considered complete when the path between
the light source's and receiver's lens is not blocked. The "PA46" receiver performs
all output and/or timing functions in a Thru-Beam system. |
| MEK-56-FF36 Proximity Controls |
 | The "FF36" senses its light beam reflected
back from the actual object the "FF36" is used to sense. In this case, the object is
the "reflector". This makes the unit ideal for applications where using a standard
reflector would be impractical; for example, looking up between rollers to sense
presence of a load at a P & D station. For applications purposes, the beam is complete
when the "FF36" senses light reflected from an object. Range, depending on target, up
to 40". |
