LLC1 Series

  • Low Cost
  • Two Modes: Fill or Drain
  • Built-in Time Delay to Prevent Rapid Cycling
  • PC Board Protected Against Moisture and Corrosion
  • Sense Resistance Factory Fixed or Adjustable
  • Electromechanical Relay Output
  • UL and CSA

Description

The LLC1 Series is a low cost single probe resistance sensing device designed to maintain a level of liquid. LLC1 can be ordered in one of two modes: Fill or Drain - and is available with built-in time delay to prevent rapid cycling. The output is an electromechanical relay which helps to ensure against an output failure and an overflow condition. Quality and reliablity at the right price.

CONNECTION

OPERATION

MODE OF OPERATION A- Drain Type: As long as liquid does not come in contact with the probe, the relay contacts remain in an unenergized position. If liquid rises to probe level, a fixed time delay* will be initiated. At the end of the time delay, the relay contacts will transfer to the energized position. They will remain in this position as long as the probe is in contact with the liquid. If the liquid drops below the probe, the relay will immediately de-energize.

MODE OF OPERATION B- Fill Type: As long as liquid remains in contact with the probe, the relay contacts will remain in an unenergized position. If liquid drops below the probe level, a fixed time delay* will be initiated. At the end of the time delay, the relay contacts will transfer to the energized position. They will remain in this position until the level of the liquid reaches the probe again. When this occurs, the relay immediately de-energizes.

*Note: The purpose of the time delay is to prevent rapid cycling of the relay and its associated load in cases where the liquid is turbulent.
