Description

The LLC5 Liquid Level Control provides high level, low level (bilevel) control in a convenient octal plug-in package. Models are available for pump-up (fill type) or pump-down (drain type) operation. Transformer isolated AC voltage on the probes prevents electrolytic plating. Less than 1/1000 of an amp of current is used to sense the presence of conductive liquid between the probes and common. Onboard sensitivity adjustment, on adjustable units, eliminates false tripping caused by floating debris and foaming agents. Isolated electromechanical relay contacts can be connected to the control circuitry or control pumps and solenoids directly.

OPERATION

MODE OF OPERATION A- Drain Type: As long as liquid does not come in contact with the upper probe, the relay contacts remain in an unenergized position. If liquid rises to the upper probe level, the relay contacts will transfer to the energized position, until the liquid drops below the lower probe level. When this occurs, the relay will immediately de-energize.

MODE OF OPERATION B- Fill Type: As long as liquid remains between the upper and lower probes, the relay contacts will remain in an unenergized position. If liquid drops below the lower probe, the control relay will be energized. The relay contacts will remain in the energized position until the level of the liquid reaches the upper probe. When this occurs, the relay immediately de-energizes.
