A
BRIEF DISCUSSION ON MUSIC & CHRISTIANITY - This is a
brief e-mail discussion arising as a result on some of my comments in THINKMAIL
#11. The discussion is between myself and Jeff Nesbitt. Visit Jeff's
excellent website THE HIGHWAY.
AN
OPEN LETTER ON ROMAN-CATHOLICISM - After looking
into Catholic/Protestant issues for close to a year, I sent this letter
out to several people - both Roman-Catholic and Protestant. The two most
productive responses came from Reformed apologist James
White and Roman-Catholic Karen
Schindler, at that time with Scott Hahn's organization (my
letter was originally specifically addressed to Mr. Hahn). Both sets of
correspondance are linked on their respective names.
IS
THE SOUL "IMMORTAL" ? - This is
my letter to Kim Andreas concerning a
Bible study that she posts on her website. A brief e-mail dialogue
results. Kim holds to the
"traditionalist" view (i.e., our soul/spirit leaves our body
at death and enters either heaven or hell). I hold the
conditionalist view which states that man is not "immortal"
in any sense until resurrected at the last day. The "intermediate
state" is one of unconciousness ("sleep"),
not disembodied bliss or suffering.
ON
THE FORMATION OF THE CANON - Correspondence with a brother
in Christ initiated by a sister in Christ on the canon of Scripture. The
issue? Many books were categorized as "disputed" - some made
the canon, while others did not. Who decided? My correspondent and
I end up agreeing on a balanced position regarding the formation of the
New Testament canon, the historic Christian Church and her councils, and
the modern face of the Roman-Catholic Church.
