Programming

Wrote over 300 programs for inventory control and financial positioning

Modified dozens of "canned" programs to the client specifications

Wrote or rewrote COBOL batch and Command level CICS

Created a new and much tighter security system

Replaced or created new programs to replace some of the hard coding of dates, entity codes, etc.

Was responsible for the implementation of a new batch and on-line Utility Billing System for billing water, gas, sewer and garbage. After obtaining a custom-made "turnkey" system, it required several dozen more batch programs and the writing or rewriting of several dozen CICS (macro and command level) programs

Programmed an IBM 3762 cash processor to read OCR lines and to calculate discounts of up to three amounts in the scan line

Programmed an IBM System/34 to transmit print from the print queue to IBM 370/145 and vice-versa using COBOL instead of RPG.
