I would appreciate you taking a few minutes to read this page.

Many have expressed pleasure in finding their family
connections here.   I am most appreciative to those
who have sent family information and photographs
and shared wonderful times via emails with me.

Please see the few brick walls that I continue to
research below.

The time spent in the courthouses, and libraries, and
cemeteries is a never ending process. I do have to say,
those of  you  who may be new to researching your family,
are certainly missing out by not visiting your nearest
library or Family History Center and finding your own
informaton in primary records instead of copying others work.

This site included a list of our direct ancestors  and
their spouses.  A number of narrative pages on various
family histories....
but has been deleted for the time being.

Many people think that caching web sites is fine, and the
people who have worked so hard to research and provide
information are either greedy or acting silly. I assure you,
if anyone came into your home, stole your possessions,
you would be the first to report the theft to the authorities.
Many of us feel this same invasion of our web sites.

These are the few families below that I am researching and if we
are researching the same families I'd appreciate an email
and discussion about the family.

At this time, I am looking for connections to a family surname of Wood.
The father was James C. Wood, the mother named Nancy, children:
Jane M., Elizabeth, Susan, Roda, James, and John. They resided in
Benton/Calhoun County, Alabama in 1850 & 1860. The mother Nancy
and daughter Susan died of typhoid fever in Mississippi 1870.

I am also researching the widow of Richard Faulk who died Alabama 1828.
She married William W. Davis Jr. from South Carolina in 1836 in Alabama.
He had at least four children with an unknown first wife: Reginer, daughter unknown
and does not show up in 1850 Alabama census so she may have died, Ensley P.
and Jasper Newton Davis. Reginer married a William Pogue.

I am also researching Isaac Sherrill, son of Lucretia Wilaon and Aquilla Sherrill.
He married a Rebecca and #2 wife was a Jane Cates. Many researhcers have two
Isaacs confused, their dates of death and other information. If this is your lineage,
let's compare notes.

Note:   Capt Christian Binkley had a son named Johann Jacob Binkley.
Baptized 1774, he married Elizabeth Wingard, he died 1810 in Fairfield County, Ohio.
This unreadable Binkley grave stone is one over from Elizabeth, and several of Elizabeth's
children by her second husband, John Baker are buried in this row as well as several children from
her mariage to Johann Jacob Binkley also buried in the row next to them.  I firmly believe this
is the gravesite for Johann Jacob Binkley.  This is NOT the same son confused with Johann Jacob
and named Johannis died 1814, who is buried next to Capt Christian Binkley.
