Holland America runs twelve ships, sailing from popular ports around the world. Holland America is among the "Grand Tour" cruise lines. These cruises are usually longer than seven night cruises offered by many other cruise lines.
Holland American ships tend to a bit more formal than some of their competitors. Black tie dinners are standard. Its ships travel to Alaska, Asia and the Pacific, Canada and New England, the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, the Pacifc Northwest, and South America as well cruises that pass thru the Panama Canal and world voyages.
