It almost seems as if the word fuck was created for Jay Miner's personal use. His works embody the visceral, exploring both the darkness and positivity of sex in its most carnal incarnations. That's not to say his work isn't beautiful -- it has a great deal to say about the value of beauty. But it is base, rooted in the most physical aspects of our reality.
Jay says, "I am 27 years old. I was born, raised, and educated in Buffalo, N.Y. I have lived in Michigan and Arizona. I currently reside in Nevada where I work as a hospital Food Service Director. I published my own print 'zine called The Rebel's Advocate from 1995-1997 and I currently serve as Co-Editor of The-Hold.com.
"I have self-published several chapbooks, an audio cassette of spoken-word (with Boxhead Records,) and currently have my own web site at www.the-hold.com/jminer.html.

"My audio cassette 'The Dirty Soul Diary Project' was selected as a 'Buffalo News Local Record Pick of the Week.' I have been commissioned to read at the Scottsdale Musuem of Contemporary Art in Scottsdale, Arizona.
