Ash must now fight Richie, and he is not sure if he can go 
through it. Richie has went through all four of his rounds 
without loosing a single Pokemon. Ash meets up with Richie at 
the Pokemon Center and they agree that their upcoming match
will be their greatest battle ever! Back at their rooms, 
Misty receives a call from Richie; who seems to be a two-faced 
punk. On the phone, Richie calls Ash to meet him. But little 
does Ash know, the phone call was actually from Jessie. When 
Ash goes to meet Richie, Team Rocket jumps out and capture him 
and Pikachu. After being thrown into a truck, Ash uses his 
Squirtle to flood the truck and escape. Team Rocket chases 
them but Ash escapes using James' bike. Back at the stadium, 
trouble seems abroad as Ash is nowhere to be found. Misty
storms up to Richie and scolds him about the phone call earlier in 
the day. But they soon discover that they have been tricked, as Richie 
didn't call. Team Rocket chases once again, but Ash foils them with 
another electric shock from Pikachu. He makes use of their hot air 
balloon and Pidgeotto  head to Indigo Stadium. It's late and Ash is 
take the win as he wants to battle Ash. Ash finally shows up in a 
magnificent entrance. The daring battle ensues and both Richie and Ash 
have one Pokemon left. Ash's Charizard is up against Richie's Pikachu 
Sparky! But Charizard doesn't want to fight and goes to sleep. In  
result, Ash looses his most important battle by default.
