Hello my name is Professor Oak. Im sixty years old grandfather of Gary. My job here in Pallet town is to provide some guidance for Ash and other Pokémon trainers. I am the ultimate authority on Pokemon. All kids who aspire to become trainers must visit me first. Some people in Pallet town describe me as eccentric, absentminded and friendly. One of my goals is to build the first complete Pokemon Encyclopedia or the Pokédex. I love providing advice to any aspiring trainer.
