I was born in Michigan in 1960 (followed 10 minutes later by my twin sister Patty) and graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in journalism (photojournalism emphasis) in 1983. After marrying in 1985, my bride Jennifer and I moved to Texas, which at the time offered more stable economic opportunities.

Ten years later, after having photographed all kinds of things, including landscapes, I decided to concentrate solely on portrait photography, which interested me most.

Since then I've had the privilege of meeting and photographing many significant individuals from the fields of politics, arts, and entertainment. I hope to continue this pursuit for many years to come.

Jennifer and I have two smart, sweet and interesting daughters, Erin and Lindsay.
