Donald E. Anderson, P.E.

 

PRESENT POSITION . . .

Mr. Anderson currently serves ZEI, Inc., as Consultant on natural gas distribution and transmission projects.

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY . . .

For four years, Mr. Anderson served as Vice President of Special Projects for Fenix & Scisson, Inc., where he had responsibility for developing company-wide project control procedures, a company-wide marketing program for engineering and construction services, and executive responsibility for management of large projects.

For over two years, Mr. Anderson served as Vice President of Williams Brothers Engineering Company. In this capacity, Mr. Anderson was Assistant Manager of North American Operations and was responsible for all domestic project efforts. These consisted primarily of pipeline engineering/construction management projects such as the SOHIO crude oil line, a $150 million project to bring Alaskan crude oil from Long Beach, California, to Midland, Texas; the Dome Cochin pipeline, a $300 million project to bring natural gas liquids from Calgary, Alberta, to Sarnia, Ontario; and the Northern Border Pipeline project that was in the planning/design stage. Mr. Anderson's additional responsibilities with Williams Brothers encompassed the Alaskan Office, a pipeline project to transport natural gas from Alaska to the lower forty-eight states; the Houston Project Operations Office; and the production operations at Elk Hills, a Naval Petroleum Reserve.

Mr. Anderson also served as President of the Michigan Gas Utilities Company, a gas distribution company, where he was the Chief Operating Officer with responsibilities including a subsidiary gas and oil exploration company.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Anderson was the Executive Manager of Gas Engineering and Construction for Consumers Power Company, the nation's eleventh largest utility. During his twenty-one years with Consumers Power Company, he served in several management positions, including the management of all wholesale natural gas operations, management of all gas facility design and construction (transmission and distribution), and was responsible for a staff of 350 employees.

While with Consumers Power Company, Mr. Anderson also served as the Manager of Gas Operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for the training of compressor station and pipeline operating and maintenance staff for the gas system.
